I am experienced in providing teaching and support to students who are starting accounting for the first time and those who have done accounting before but are facing difficulties with complex accounting concepts. I have experience teaching accounting at both GCSE and A level. I have vast experience in teaching Financial Accounting 1,2 and 3 at the undergraduate level and postgraduate levels. I have experience in teaching professional courses such as AAT at all levels, ACCA Financial Reporting at all levels and CPA Financial Reporting at all levels. I am a very supportive tutor, patient with my students, and bring the human face to my lessons. I create a very conducive and supportive learning environment by considering the individual learning abilities of my students. I have experience in teaching international students.
I am an active researcher with my current research article, having won the Outstanding Paper in the 2024 Emerald Literati Awards. I have vast experience in supervising undergraduate, Masters and PhD dissertations and theses.


I have a Doctorate in Accounting a Master in Accounting, and a qualified CPA in Australia. I have a postgraduate diploma in Doctoral supervision, a postgraduate certificate in Business and Finance research and a certificate in writing for publication. I am currently a senior lecturer at the University of Southampton, Southampton Business School. I am a dissertation supervisor for undergraduate, Masters and PhD students. I am the academic integrity officer for the business school, and I have experience teaching students academic writing without falling into the trap of plagiarism. I have experience in presenting at conferences and am able to prepare students for conference presentations.
I am a Qualified teacher and lecturer and Enhanced DBS Certified.
