I have an intense interest in our world and the opportunities and challenges we are faced with. This led me to study Geography at university, where I thoroughly enjoyed learning about topics such as climate change, flooding and sustainable development.
After graduating, I decided to pursue a career in teaching, where I now enjoy sharing my passions with my students and helping them to achieve success in their exams so they can lead fulfilling lives in the future.
I believe that breaking lessons down into manageable 'chunks' of learning, using model answers and providing specific feedback are key to help students make progress.
I have taught Geography for 13 years, covering a wide range of different exam boards. I have experience teaching international qualifications, such as IGCSE, international A-level and IB Geography. I have designed and marked NEAs, internal assessments and extended essays. I have been the head of Geography in two schools and so have an in-depth understanding of how to help students make progress.
