I am a qualified teacher of Computer Science and ICT, a Mathematics tutor, and the AI Lead at my school, with over 10 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally. I currently work in an international school, where I have developed the ICT and Computer Science department from the ground up and introduced these subjects at IGCSE and A Level.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy keeping active and challenging myself through CrossFit. I like the mix of strength, fitness and discipline it involves, and I enjoy working towards personal goals. CrossFit has taught me a lot about resilience, consistency and the importance of having a positive mindset, which are values I also bring into my teaching.
I am also very interested in artificial intelligence and enjoy reading about how AI is changing education, work and everyday life. As AI Lead at my school, I am particularly interested in how it can be used safely and effectively to support learning, help teachers and prepare students for the future.
Travel is another big part of my life. I enjoy exploring new places, experiencing different cultures and learning from the people I meet. Living and working internationally has helped me become adaptable, open-minded and understanding of different learning styles and backgrounds.
I would describe myself as reflective, hard-working and curious. Whether I am teaching, learning about new technology, travelling or training, I enjoy developing new skills and pushing myself to improve. My aim is always to bring enthusiasm, structure and confidence into my work with students.
Teaching Experience
I am a qualified teacher of Computer Science and ICT, a Mathematics tutor, and the AI Lead at my school, with over 10 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally.
Current Role
I currently work in an international school, where I teach ICT and Computer Science and have led the development of the subject across key stages, including IGCSE, AS and A Level. As the sole Computer Science teacher, I have developed schemes of work, created resources, introduced new courses, supported exam preparation and helped students build confidence in both theory and practical skills.
Subjects and Age Groups
My teaching experience includes working with primary, secondary and sixth form students across KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, BTEC, A Level and IAL. I have taught a wide range of topics, including programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems, databases, spreadsheets, web design, digital literacy and exam technique. I also have experience supporting students with coursework-style tasks and practical ICT skills.
Teaching Approach
My approach is structured, supportive and tailored to the needs of each learner. I begin by identifying a student’s strengths, weaknesses and learning style, then plan lessons that are carefully paced and focused on clear progress. I break complex topics into manageable steps, use questioning to check understanding, and provide guided practice before encouraging independent work.
Additional Learning Needs
I have experience supporting students with additional learning needs, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and autism. I adapt my teaching using clear explanations, visual support, structured examples and confidence-building practice.
Tutoring Aim
As a tutor, my aim is to help students feel more confident, organised and prepared, while developing the skills, understanding and exam technique needed to succeed in Maths, Computer Science and ICT exams.
Subjects and Exam Boards Covered
I offer tutoring in Maths, Computer Science and ICT across GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IAL. I support students with both theory and practical skills, as well as exam preparation, coursework-style tasks, programming and confidence building.
Computer Science
I cover a wide range of Computer Science topics, including programming, algorithms, pseudocode, trace tables, data structures, data representation, Boolean logic, computer systems, networking, cyber security, databases, operating systems and exam-style problem solving.
I have experience teaching and tutoring AQA, Cambridge International, Edexcel and OCR specifications. In my current school, I introduced Cambridge International Computer Science at IGCSE and A Level, and I am currently introducing Edexcel IGCSE Computer Science.
I am also an examiner for AQA A Level Computer Science, which gives me a strong understanding of assessment requirements, mark schemes and how students can improve their exam technique.
ICT
I teach and tutor ICT at GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IAL, including spreadsheets, databases, document production, presentations, web authoring, mail merge, data handling, systems analysis, communication technologies and practical exam preparation.
In my current school, I introduced Cambridge International ICT at IGCSE and A Level, developing the curriculum, resources and assessment approach to support students’ progress and exam readiness.
I am also an examiner for Edexcel GCSE and A Level ICT, so I can support students in understanding how to structure answers, avoid common mistakes and meet the expectations of the exam board.
Maths
I tutor GCSE and IGCSE Maths, including algebra, fractions, equations, graphs, geometry, probability, statistics, problem solving, calculator and non-calculator methods. I also help students develop stronger exam technique, confidence and accuracy.
Programming Support
I offer programming support in Python and Pygame, including selection, iteration, arrays, lists, functions, file handling, validation, debugging and exam-style programming questions.
