About Me
Very experienced and highly qualified Head of English. I hold a Masters in Education, a BA Hons in Language and Literature from Durham University (one of the UK's top universities for my subject) and have been an A level examiner.
I also have 2000+ hours of on-line and face-to-face tutoring experience and an excellent track record of student examination success at I/GCSE, A level and IB (HL & SL). Since 2025, I have solely focused on tutoring and now have a growing number of UK and international students.
I am best suited for students who want to make significant, measurable improvements in their grades. I also have lots of experience in supporting students with SEND needs. My lessons include high-quality resources, exam practice, personalised feedback and ongoing support.
I work with students to develop their writing, reading and analytical skills, developing their subject knowledge and examination techniques. My approach is student-centered with sessions always tailored to individual learning styles and strengths: through building confidence, academic and examination success follows.

I have extensive knowledge of all major exam boards, including CAIE, Edexcel, AQA and IB. My Head of English experience and examiner training provides students with a clear advantage: I teach them how assessments are constructed, what examiners prioritise and how to write answers that consistently achieve top-band marks.
