Hello! I'm Eamonn, a fully qualified UK primary teacher with eight years of classroom experience teaching children aged 7–11.
Throughout my career, I've worked with children of all abilities, helping them build confidence, develop key skills and enjoy learning. I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual needs, whether they require extra support, greater challenge or preparation for assessments.
My lessons are engaging, supportive and designed to help children make steady progress while developing confidence in their own abilities. As a current classroom teacher, I understand the expectations of the English National Curriculum and use a patient, encouraging approach that helps pupils feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy travelling, playing football and padel, and finding creative ways to make learning enjoyable. Building positive relationships with children is at the heart of my teaching, and I look forward to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
I have eight years of experience teaching in UK primary schools and currently teach Year 3 in a large primary academy. Alongside my classroom teaching, I have also provided one-to-one tuition, giving me experience of tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of each learner.
Throughout my teaching career, I have supported children with a wide range of abilities, including pupils with SEND and English as an Additional Language. I understand that every child learns differently and adapt my teaching to build confidence, address misconceptions and help pupils make meaningful progress.
In addition to my classroom role, I have held leadership responsibilities as PE and Geography Lead and previously served as Maths Lead. These roles have strengthened my understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and supporting high-quality teaching across the school.
My classroom and tutoring experience have given me a strong understanding of the English National Curriculum, enabling me to support pupils in developing secure foundations in English and Mathematics while preparing them for future learning.
I specialise in Primary English and Primary Mathematics for children aged 7–11.
My areas of expertise include:
Building confidence in reading, writing and mathematics.
Supporting pupils who need additional help to catch up with their peers.
Stretching and challenging higher-attaining pupils.
Teaching the English National Curriculum.
Developing reading comprehension and inference skills.
Improving spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Developing writing skills, including sentence structure, vocabulary and composition.
Building mathematical fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Preparing pupils for school assessments and transitions.
Supporting children with additional learning needs through personalised teaching approaches.
My aim is always to create enjoyable lessons where children feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and develop as independent learners.
