About Me
I am a transdisciplinary climate scholar with over 20 years of research, teaching, and policy engagement experience across geography, environmental science, political science, and climate policy. My work examines how power, risk, and justice shape climate governance across local, national, and global scales, with a particular focus on urban climate politics, adaptation, and socio‑technical transitions.
I have held academic posts in the UK, Australia, and Brunei, and have advised governments, research councils, and international bodies on climate risk, adaptation, and evidence‑based policymaking. My career includes leadership roles such as Director of the Lincoln Centre for Ecological Justice, co‑founder of the Lincoln Climate Commission, and evaluator for major UKRI programmes. I have published around 90 outputs, contributed to high‑level policy processes, and collaborated widely across disciplines and sectors.
I bring a strong commitment to mentoring, interdisciplinary thinking, and supporting researchers to develop rigorous, impactful scholarship.
Tutor Experience
I have extensive experience teaching and supervising across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in the UK and internationally. My teaching spans climate governance, environmental policy, sustainability, socio‑technical transitions, environmental justice, research design, and qualitative methods.
