I am a Professor with over 21 years of experience in Electronic Engineering, currently serving as a Visiting Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University. My career is defined by a deep passion for teaching Digital and Analog VLSI design, where I strive to make complex semiconductor concepts accessible and engaging for students. With 34 patents and over 100 indexed publications to my name, I am uniquely positioned to mentor students through the rigorous process of high-level academic research. I take great pride in encouraging students to look beyond the classroom, fostering the critical thinking skills necessary to solve real-world engineering challenges. My ultimate goal is to empower the next generation of engineers not only to master their coursework but to achieve their own professional milestones and publication success.
I have developed a comprehensive teaching portfolio spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels across India and the UK. My experience includes serving as a Visiting Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Reading. I have successfully mentored over 100 undergraduate projects, 30+ postgraduate theses, and 8 PhD candidates (4 awarded), focusing on Digital and Analog VLSI, MEMS, and semiconductor device modeling.
My pedagogical approach is rooted in "Research-Led Teaching," where I bridge the gap between textbook theory and real-world application by integrating my 34 patents and 100+ indexed publications into the curriculum. I utilize industry-standard tools such as Tanner, Silvaco, and Xilinx to ensure students gain hands-on technical proficiency alongside conceptual mastery. Beyond technical instruction, I am deeply committed to publication mentorship, guiding students through the rigorous process of drafting, refining, and publishing their work in high-impact journals. By fostering a culture of inquiry and critical thinking, I empower my students to transition from learners to contributors in the global engineering community.
