About Me

My deep knowledge of applied physics, shaped by my work on inclusive education and over 25 years of teaching experience, forms the foundation of my professional identity. Throughout my career, I have taught Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering Fundamentals to students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, including learners from the UAE and Bahrain, as well as students with Special Educational Needs. This experience has strengthened my belief that effective education must be both inclusive and engaging, bridging theory with practical, real-world understanding.

My teaching approach emphasizes active learning, hands-on experimentation, and the integration of Universal Design for Learning principles to ensure that every student can access, engage with, and excel in scientific concepts. I am particularly passionate about transforming complex physical principles into clear, relatable ideas that foster curiosity and confidence.

Beyond classroom teaching, my research and instructional design work focus on creating learning environments that promote collaboration, critical thinking, and equity in science education. My professional goal is not only to share knowledge but to inspire a lasting enthusiasm for learning, encouraging every student to see science as both a way of understanding the world and a path to personal growth.

Tutor Experience

I am an experienced educator and assessor specializing in Physics, Materials Science, and Electric Power. Since 2024, I have been serving as an Assessor of Physics, Materials, and Electric Power at the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (H.A.I.) in Schimatari.

From 2021 to 2025, I have been working as an Instructor of Technical English, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical and Electronic Fundamentals, Materials, Basic Aerodynamics, and Human Resources for students from the United Arab Emirates, teaching in various locations including Athens, Avlona, Schimatari, and at H.A.I.

During 2022–2023, I instructed students from Bahrain in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical and Electronic Fundamentals, Materials, Basic Aerodynamics, and Human Resources at Schimatari.

From 2019 to 2024, I taught in public secondary schools in Athens, while from 2004 to 2022, I served as a teacher and Head of the Physics Department in a private educational institution in Chalkida.

Earlier in my career, between 1999 and 2002, I was a member of the Research Team of the Laboratory of Solar Energy at the Department of Physics, University of Patras.

Qualifications

I am currently a PhD Candidate in Applied Physics in Inclusive Environments at the University of St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia, Bulgaria (2022–2025). My doctoral research focuses on inclusive physics education and the application of Universal Design for Learning principles in science teaching.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Education and Special Education from the University of Nicosia and the University of Patras (2020–2022), as well as a Certification in Braille Writing and Reading for People with Visual Impairment from the Center for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind (K.E.A.T.) in Athens (2021).

Additionally, I earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management titled Environmental Sciences from the University of Patras (2002–2004), where I was awarded two scholarships for achieving the second-best performance in both the first and second years of the Interdepartmental Program of Environmental Sciences.

My academic foundation is built upon a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Patras (1996–2001), which laid the groundwork for my long-standing engagement with both scientific research and education.
