About Me
I have been teaching in both state and private education for 12 years and have worked with a wide range of students from various backgrounds throughout that time.
I have worked with students who were complete beginners, as well as those who were facing challenges in mastering advanced topics. I am adept in breaking down difficult concepts with the use of simple examples. I don't encourage memorisation and simply recalling the formulas, instead, I focus on the 'why' and 'how'.
I understand that every student has a different learning style. Some students understand the concepts when explained through analogies, others when the answer is modelled for them in a visual way. I am able to effectively modify my teaching methodology depending on what the student is comfortable with in order to get the most out of each session.
Tutor Experience
I have 12 years teaching Business Studies in both state and private schools. Throughout this time I have worked with a wide range of students from various backgrounds, who often have a wide and extensive range of needs.
Throughout this time I have adapted my teaching style to ensure that each individual student has access to the content that they need to learn as well as the tools to effectively answer the exam questions using the correct structure.
I have taught a wide range of courses including at both GCSE and A Level:

BTEC
OCR
Cambridge Technicals single and double units
I am able to break topics down and help students that are just beginning their Business Studies journey to access the basic elements of the course as well as pushing more experienced students to challenge themselves while looking at more complex areas of the specification. I am adept at adapting my approach to ensure that it meets the preference of any student through meticulously planned and tailored lessons that meet your individual needs as well as changing the way these explanations are pitched to ensure they meet the level of understanding and are accessible .

When learning the concepts of the course the key areas will be broken down in an easy to understand chunks which can then be bought together to ensure that the response includes the correct level of detail required.
In order to achieve the highest grade possible a lot of emphasis is put on exam technique, ensuring understanding of what the examiner expects to see and then mastering the structures and layouts that help to achieve this as effectively as possible.
It is lovely to find out the individual requirements of each student and tailor the content to suit the specific areas of improvement that they need.
