About Me
I am a qualified teacher, tutor, and Business & Life Coach with over 20 years of experience helping people learn, grow, and achieve their goals. My career has taken me from UK colleges and international schools to online tutoring and coaching clients around the world.
I have a degree in English Literature and Drama, a PGCE, and a genuine passion for learning and personal development. Alongside teaching, I have run my own businesses, worked as a coach, and travelled extensively throughout Asia and the Americas. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills, cultural awareness, adaptability, and the ability to build rapport quickly with people from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, travelling, yoga, personal development, volunteering, and exploring different cultures. I am particularly interested in helping people overcome self-limiting beliefs, build confidence, and realise their potential.
As a tutor, I combine my teaching experience with coaching techniques to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves. I believe that education is about far more than passing exams; it is about developing confidence, curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
I am committed to helping every student make progress while enjoying the learning journey and gaining skills that will benefit them long after our lessons have ended.
Tutor Experience
I am a PGCE-qualified teacher, tutor, and Business & Life Coach with over 20 years of experience supporting learners in schools, colleges, international settings, and through one-to-one online tuition.
My teaching experience includes Business Studies, English, Business English, Functional Skills, Study Skills, Employability Skills, and vocational qualifications. I have taught BTEC and IGCSE Business at an international school in Thailand, Business and IT at Brockenhurst College, and Business, Travel, and Public Services qualifications at colleges across the UK. I have also worked as a Year 13 SEN Teacher, supporting students with a range of additional needs and leading a team of Teaching Assistants.
Since 2021, I have worked remotely as an English and Business English Tutor, supporting learners from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Since October 2025, I have also worked as a SEND English Tutor, delivering personalised one-to-one support for students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, SEMH needs, and other learning differences.
My approach combines high-quality teaching with coaching techniques to build confidence, motivation, organisation, and independent learning skills. I believe every learner is unique, so I tailor lessons to individual goals, abilities, and learning styles. My sessions are engaging, supportive, and structured, using discussion, questioning, problem-solving activities, real-world examples, and regular feedback to maximise progress.
My aim is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to develop the confidence, resilience, and learning strategies that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
