About Me
Beyond my professional experience, I believe that the best learning takes place when students feel comfortable, intellectually curious, and genuinely engaged. I am 37 years old and have a lifelong passion for reading, analysing literature, and exploring the ways in which language shapes our understanding of the world. I particularly enjoy discussing literature, languages, and cultures with students, encouraging them to think critically, ask questions, and develop their own perspectives while acquiring a deeper understanding of the exam structure.
Being of both English and Greek heritage, I have had the privilege of teaching students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities across the UK, Greece, and internationally. Having lived and worked abroad, I value cultural diversity and enjoy bringing a global perspective into my lessons, whether I am teaching English Literature, English Language, or English as a Second Language. I believe that recognising each student's unique experiences helps build confidence, motivation, and meaningful learning.
Outside teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors and regularly go hiking, as well as running distances of 5–10 kilometres. These activities remind me that meaningful progress comes through patience, consistency, and resilience. These are the same qualities that underpin my approach to learning. I also enjoy drawing, sketching, sewing and travelling, all of which nurture the creativity, observation, and curiosity that I encourage in my students. Whether we are analysing a Shakespeare play, refining an analytical essay, or developing spoken English, I aim to create lessons that are challenging, engaging, and enjoyable, helping students not only achieve excellent results but also develop a lasting appreciation for language and literature.

I am a passionate and experienced educator with over 14 years of teaching experience, including English Literature at GCSE and A Level, as well as English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). My teaching experience spans diverse environments, including secondary schools, universities and online platforms.
Apart from tutoring English Literature and Language as my current full time job, I am also an examiner for A-Level English Literature and GCSE exams. When tutoring, I specialise in tailoring lessons to individual needs. I integrate digital tools like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to enhance learning and track progress.
I have taught ‘Contemporary Literature’ as a seminar module to undergraduate students at the University of Sheffield, focusing on essay preparation and critical engagement with texts. My role involved planning lessons, creating curriculum materials, and promoting student participation.
