About Me
I am an experienced Economics teacher and former Head of Economics at Winchester College, where I led a high-performing department to consistently exceptional results year-on-year with one of the highest Value Added scores across all subjects. Throughout my nine years teaching, I have delivered outstanding A*/A results that have always exceeded the national average and my own school's average. With an MSc in Behavioural & Economic Science (Distinction) from Warwick, an MA in Economics (First Class Honours) from Aberdeen, and experience as an examiner for both AQA and Edexcel, I bring deep subject expertise and inside knowledge of what examiners are looking for in top-grade responses.
Tutor Experience
I have nine years of teaching experience in British schools, including Rugby School and Winchester College, where I served as Head of Economics. I currently serve as Head of Faculty (Social Sciences) at a boarding school in Ascot. Across my career I have taught A-Level Economics and A-Level Business to students aged 16–18. I have a long track record of delivering one-to-one tuition as academic intervention within schools, and I have been tutoring privately online throughout my teaching career (9 years). I make use of online tools such as interactive whiteboards and Google Suite to deliver engaging, effective lessons remotely.
