I have been tutoring students aged 8 through to adult learners since 2007, with experience across private tuition, schools, and university-level teaching, including Access to Higher Education courses.
I teach:
A Level: Latin, Classical Civilisation, History, Politics, essay writing skills.

GCSE: Latin, Classical Civilisation, History, English Language
Other levels: Latin, Classical Civilisation, History, Ancient Greek, English Literature.

I have supported a wide range of students, including those preparing for Oxbridge applications, as well as students who face barriers to learning such as anxiety, dyslexia, and other forms of neurodivergence. My approach is always individualised, with a strong focus on building confidence and working towards each student’s personal goals.
Alongside teaching and tutoring, I have worked as an examiner since 2013. This gives me a clear understanding of what examiners are looking for across different boards, allowing me to guide students effectively in exam technique as well as subject knowledge.
In Classical Civilisation, I have particularly taught Imperial Image, the Roman Republic, Epic, and Greek Tragedy. In History, I have taught a broad range of topics including the Tudors, Russia, the Wars of the Roses, Germany, Modern British History (from 1800), the civil war and American History. Medieval history is a particular passion of mine.
I am most experienced with AQA, and have also taught OCR and Edexcel specifications.

I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students can build understanding step by step and feel more confident in their abilities.
