About Me
I am a teacher, tutor, mentor and coach with over 20 years' experience, from secondary school to university. I am an NMC-registered nurse, a Senior Lecturer in Nursing
I began my career teaching Ethics, Philosophy and Religious Education. I also worked as an assessor for Edexcel, OCR and AQA. That taught me how marking works and how to help students hit the criteria.
In August 2010, I drowned and was resuscitated in hospital. That experience showed me what nurses and doctors give, and I wanted to give something back. I retrained and practised as an emergency nurse, then returned to teaching, this time in nursing. Today I teach across Foundation, Bachelor's and Master's programmes.
I tutor in:

- Dissertation planning, research and critical appraisal
- Ethics, philosophy and the ethical use of AI in study
