I am a native English/French speaker who was born and raised in Japan, and I have lived in Japan for 15 years. I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS, and I have three years experience working as a GCSE and IB Japanese and French teacher at a high achieving boy`s grammar school with a mixed sixth form. I am passionate about teaching both teenagers and adults.
Japanese is an exciting language to learn and I am sure that everyone has different reasons to want to study it. It looks complicated at a glance, but once you come to understand the rules and you are ready to put in the work, it is not as difficult as it looks! I can promise to curtail lessons to students` needs and desires, and I would love to be a part of your Japanese language learning process.
I am a French speaker as I am half Belgian, and I also went through GCSE, AS, and A-Level French at school, therefore I understand the process very well. It is also a language which is seen as fairly complicated, but once you get into the groove it will get easier and easier. It is an extremely fun language to speak and I hope as a tutor I can encourage you to fall in love with francophone culture as well as the language.
The basis of a language learning is to become capable in the four skill sets: reading, writing, listening and speaking. However, you may have a particular skill which you want to concentrate on. In the first lesson, we will have a chat about what you would like to achieve and the lessons will be adapted accordingly.
よしくおねいがいします! Merci!
