Online Biology Tutor John

I have a passion to link Biology with the other sciences other subjects, in particular Chemistry and Geography. I develop students’ science skills through building on their prior knowledge, instilling a sense of curiosity by asking though provoking questions and linking science to real world issues. I seek to provide a sound foundation by introducing maths and science skills. I plan and teach lessons that are curriculum based with a focus on the success criteria whilst working on students' prior knowledge to avoid misconceptions. I use targeted feedback to identify for each student what their next steps should be, and whether they need to learn (and understand), quiz themselves (remember), or practice (embed).
