Highly experienced private tutor. Maths and economics are my specialties, and my wish is for every student taking these subjects to excel their exams and find the same passion in them that I have.

As a graduate of economics from the London School of Economics I have gained connections that I will never forget. I've helped friends grow their businesses, start think tanks and have worked in consultancy and media alike. However, I'm always drawn back to tutoring. I love the flexibility and the personal service I can provide. In my personal life, I play lots of board games with my friends - even running a nearly 7 year long game of Dungeons and Dragons. I like making intellectual problems fun, finding ways to make logical puzzles into creative ones, and using team-work and collaboration to overcome challenges. This is the attitude I bring to each class I teach.
I have been tutoring for over 10 years. I started during my GCSEs, helping students in year 7 who struggled with maths. At A-Level, I tutored my friends who were struggling on the A-Levels we were taking together. I would run study sessions of 3-5 people after school where I would share my knowledge with them, and help them improve their grades. At University, I started tutoring professionally. At first, I would tutor those in their first year, on exams I took the previous year. Then, I expanded outwards, tutoring a range of subjects to students online, taking on nearly 30 students a year whilst I engaged with my studies. After graduating, I continued tutoring, increasing my students to nearly 40 a week at the peak of my tutoring career.
Overall, I've taught over 250 students in nearly 3000 classes, and have seen first hand the impact it can have. I've helped students raise their grades by 2-3 grades in 6 months, even going from U's to Bs and As within a full year of tuition. I've seen what is possible through private tuition, and I believe in it wholeheartedly.
I cover all exam boards for GCSE and A Level Mathematics, Business, Economics and Politics.
At undergrad level, I cover micro and macro economics from 1st to 3rd year, as well as Econometrics, Managerial Economics, Monetary Economics, and Game Theory.
My son was really engaged in the class during his first lesson and he found Lewis’s approach is very , effective, professional and friendly . My son will continue his lessons with Lewis until he completes his A level .
