Experience teaching both in the UK and internationally who specialises in helping students develop deeper understanding of challenging topics, so problems can be tackled with confidence. Teaching consistently described as clear, engaging, and intellectually stimulating. Place strong emphasis on 'scaffolding,' while also encouraging deeper thinking. Lessons are structured, well thought out, and flexible enough to each student's ability and ambitions.
In addition, am deeply committed to advancing my own subject knowledge. Worked extensively through thousands of problems in Halliday, Resnick & Walker’s Fundamentals of Physics and Muncaster's A-Level Physics books; am currently studying advanced texts such as Jackson’s Classical Electrodynamics, Landau & Lifshitz Mechanics, Goldstein Classical Mechanics, and Shankar Quantum Mechanics. This ongoing study allows me to bring a high level of rigour and insight to my teaching.
I am a physics specialist with teaching experience across the IB and UK curricula. I am committed to academic rigour and always seek to translate abstract concepts into everyday examples and understandable analogies.
My teaching approach is built on precision and personalization. I don't believe in "one size fits all" lecturing; instead, I begin by diagnosing a student’s specific knowledge gaps. Whether we are resolving vectors in projectile motion or comprehending the laws of thermodynamics, I use a structured, "step-by-step" methodology to build a student's confidence. I place a heavy emphasis on mathematical fluency and the accurate use of scientific language, ensuring that students don't just "understand" the concept but can communicate it effectively to an examiner.
As an online tutor, I will bridge the gap between theory and practise through the use of interactive simulations (such as PhET) and worked examples that help students prepare for assessments. My background in teaching Computer Science further enhances my online delivery, allowing me to use digital tools to make lessons dynamic and engaging. I believe that making physics enjoyable and accessible will both help students achieve high grades and enable them to have a fulfilling academic experience.
I specialise in Physics at GCSE, A-level, and IB, with experience teaching across multiple exam boards including AQA and OCR-B at A-level, and AQA at GCSE, as well as the IB curriculum (Grades 8–11).
I am familiar with the requirements, structure, and assessment styles of UK exam boards, and I am able to support students studying under any major specification (AQA, OCR, Edexcel), adapting lessons to the specific demands of each course.
