Professional Tutoring

I have been teaching at University level since 2009; covering all levels from access to masters.
I have extensive on-line teaching experience ensuring that students get the best possible on-line experience.
I believe in a friendly approach led by student need. Where students have struggled with some concepts I have been able to help often by creating my own content. This approach enables me to get around those "mental roadblocks" that inevitably occur for students of all standards.

I have retired from full-time teaching, but feel I can contribute as a private tutor, helping students achieve the best they can. I have extensive experience teaching students with different needs. One to one teaching enables the tutor and student to create an effective relationship allowing material to be examined to a much deeper level.
I started tutoring in 2009 for the Open University, teaching an access module, mainly by telephone.
In 2011 I started to teach undergraduate, year 1 students, covering material such as crime, English legal method, and tort law. This was using on-line platforms, as well as face to face tuition.
By 2017 I was teaching full time and covering year 2 undergraduate modules, including contract and civil law and evidence. I was also teaching masters students information technology law. This was taught entirely on-line.
In 2019 as well as the above modules I was also teaching employment and company law at masters level. Again this was on-line.
My main areas of expertise, are crime, tort, contract and evidence for undergraduates.
For postgraduates it is in employment, company and information technology.
That said I have experience teaching many other aspects of English and Welsh law.
I am also able to guide students through the LNAT.
great as usual
