With over 30 years of international engineering experience (including projects with Siemens Building Management in Switzerland, the European Commission, and the UN) and a Master of Science degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, I specialise in providing high-level 1-on-1 academic tutoring for B.Sc. and M.Sc. engineering students.
Building on my extensive background in Industrial Energy Efficiency, my current work focuses on decentralized energy systems, microgrid resilience, and residential energy integration. Through my technical educational channel, "Energy Home DIY", I bridge the gap between advanced engineering theory and practical, hands-on implementation of thermal and electrical energy systems and combinations thereof.
My goal is simple: to help you master abstract maths and physics, understand real-world system applications, and pass your university exams with distinction and understanding rather than learning by heart.
Higher Technical Education (sfb.ch Switzerland): Lectured 12 adult professionals and technical specialists at the sfb Bildungszentrum für Technologie und Management, bridging hands-on technical management and industrial Energy Efficiency with applied engineering principles. It was during the Covid period and I did a lot of lessons on line. This experience in Zürich and Bern was running 4 semesters (2 years) and included visits in production plants. I did this in the German language and am able to teach also in English, Italian and my native language, Dutch.
European Commission & International Keynotes: Delivered high-level dissemination lectures and technical presentations to large international audiences on innovations for sustainable energy and efficiency.
Governmental & Regional Authorities: Trained public sector engineers and provincial authorities in Italy on energy policy, infrastructure assessment, and energy efficiency strategy.
University & Professional Tutoring: I was lab assistant for Prof. Niesten during his lectures of Electric Rotating Machines for a few semesters. This was on Technical University Eindhoven, 1985 and 1986.
