Hi, I'm Imogen and in 2024 I graduated with a First-Class degree in Art History from Cambridge University. Prior to this I studied Acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. I work as an actor and director while also tutoring students across a number of humanities subjects and exam boards to achieve their very best.
In my spare time you'll usually find me in the theatre or in galleries - my wealth of cultural knowledge and appreciation across different fields has allowed me to travel the world and I have spent time living and working in different countries across Europe and the US. In 2023 I worked for Craig Starr Gallery in New York City and have since worked in commercial art galleries in the UK, which has given me great insight and practical knowledge of the art market and professional curatorial practices.
My love of the humanities and inspiring the next generation of explorers and learners is what fires my enjoyment of tutoring. I am proud to support my students throughout their educational experiences.
I have over eight years of teaching experience, primarily tutoring A-Level and GCSE humanities subjects, and preparing students for Oxbridge applications, with detailed insights into the application process. From consolidating course content to refining essay-writing techniques, I support my students through the entire process, resulting in all my past students having received boosted exam results by at least one grade across a number of exam boards including AQA, OCR and Edexcel.
I am able to break down complex concepts across the humanities and work with students to tailor my approach to best suit their style of learning. I set high expectations and create a focused work environment, while also encouraging a fun and dynamic learning experience to help my students achieve their best. I build confidence in my students that not only improves exam results, but also provides the basis for the essential critical thinking skills that top universities look for in prospective students.
I also have over eight years of experience teaching Drama and Dance at Stagecoach Performing Arts as well as coaching students 1:1 for LAMDA examinations, all of whom have received Distinction grades.
Testimonials include:
'Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm and overall brilliance in getting my son over the line'. (Jo, parent of a GCSE English Student).
