My teaching philosophy is to ensure that all lessons are personalised and meet the learner where they are and not at a fixed point. I will support the understanding of core concepts, key knowledge and develop specific subject related skills. My lessons leave room for discussion and questioning but are well planned and structured with clear outcomes.

History, Sociology, Politics, English, Religious studies. I have taught History, Politics and Sociology to A Level across a range of exam boards over the years. I have taught the Edexcel History specification. I have focused most on WW2, Crime and Policing and Medicine on Paper 1. I have also Elizabethan England and the the Superpowers for Paper 2 and Russia, Weimar and Nazi Germany and the USA for paper 3. I have taught the OCR History B SHP specification. I have taught all of the modules therein. I have taught the A Level Politics AQA and Edexcel Specifications. I have taught the AQA and OCR Sociology Specifications. I have most recently taught the Edexcel History A level. I taught the following modules. Russia - 1917-91, The GDR - 1949-90, Britain Transformed - 1918-97, Civil Rights and Race Relations - 1855-2009, The USA Conformity and Challenge, England 1509-1603, authority, nation and religion.
