About Me
I am a mum of two and live in Scotland with my family and two cats. I am learning taekwondo as an adult beginner and love learning new skills. I am a huge science geek and I find tutoring hugely rewarding.
Tutor Experience
I have taught science, biology and chemistry in the classroom for over 14 years but have recently begun tutoring full time. I have taught in both state and independent schools, boarding and day.
Over the years I have taught/tutored:
IBDP Biology (SL and HL) and Chemistry (SL)
A level and international A level Biology
GCSE and IGCSE Biology and Chemistry
Scottish qualifications (N5, Higher, Advanced Higher) Biology and Chemistry.
I have had clients achieve grades sufficiently high to allow access to study medicine and dentistry, as well as go on to study at Oxbridge, Russel group, Glasgow, Edinburgh and St Andrews universities.
My approach is always to work with students in such a way as to build their confidence first. Identifying strengths and then using these to improve the weaker areas. As such, I also enjoy working with students struggling to pass and aiding them to find the success that they deserve.
