Online English Language Tutor Jane

I have been a professional English tutor for 17 years, the past 7 of which have been online and it is an art form when performed correctly to create bespoke, inspiring lessons. At its best, tutoring is both educational and pastoral, to create a bond of trust between student and tutor that allows for creativity to work its magic in our lessons. I teach students from all around the world and I remain inspired by their linguistic and creative journey.

I am an expert in GCSE Language and also Literature for AQA, Edexcel and Cambs IGCSE exam boards, as well as Functional Skills. I teach A Level Literature and academic writing with critical thinking too, both for coursework and exam prep. I have vast experience of academic proof reading too, such as dissertations. I also teach pronunciation and elocution. My student cohort has always comprised a significant number of students for whom English is not their first language and I enjoy being part of their journey towards development in both spoken and written English, that is of course a gift they take with them, beyond the exam results!
