I am due to start my PGCE in September 2018 to become a qualified Secondary Maths teacher, tutoring developed my passion for this and I enjoy working with young people to encourage them to achieve.
I am also a very dedicated person and have achieved 1st Kup in Taekwondo. This took my 4 years and was not easy! It quickly became more than just a hobby and I took on a more active role within the club and worked with coaches and other members to ensure the club ran smoothly - I became the face of the club and was respected for that. Over the last year I have taken on the role of assistant coach which I really enjoy and has developed my patience and enthusiasm.
Moreover, I currently work in Clarks as a shoe fitter for children. Whether they be a tiny baby or a grumpy teen dragged in by their mother my job involves building a good rapport with ever customer and ensure their individual needs are met.
My degree course has provided me with a wide variety of skills which has prepared me for tutoring. I achieved a 2:1 in Maths and Psychology Joint Honours. Mathematics improved my problem solving, and my knowledge of Psychology, such as, different approaches to teaching and learning, help me to tailor my tutoring style to you, as my student.
I have been a tutor with Spires for nearly a year now. I have tutored a student in psychology to pass the entrance exam secure a place at her desired college and worked with 2 GCSE students (iGCSE and GCSE Edexcel) and an A-Level student (Edexcel) to achieve the grades they wanted and secure university of sixth form places. Working with Spires and previous tutoring roles has made me far more flexible and passionate about tutoring. Due to my vast experience and knowledge of the curriculum I will be your perfect Mathematics tutor.
it was great to see how i've improved
