About Me
I am an experienced IB Chemistry and Biology educator with more than 18 years of teaching experience in international, IB, and Cambridge School of Constanta and in Bucharest Beirut International School, Romania. I am currently a PhD candidate in molecular biology and genomics with a strong academic and research background in science education and molecular biology.
Throughout my teaching career, I have helped students build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and achieve excellent academic results, including IB grade 7 achievements. I specialize in IB DP Chemistry and Biology, offering personalized support tailored to each student’s learning style and academic goals.
In addition to subject teaching, I provide guidance for Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), exam preparation, and effective study strategies. My lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorize content.
I am passionate about making science enjoyable, inspiring curiosity, and supporting students in reaching their highest potential.
Tutor Experience
I have more than 18 years of experience teaching and tutoring students in IB, Cambridge IGCSE/GCSE, AP, and general secondary science programs. I currently teach IB DP Chemistry and Biology in international schools in Bucharest and Constanța, Romania, and I also teach Cambridge Science and IGCSE/GCSE Chemistry and Biology courses.
My teaching experience includes IB Chemistry SL and HL, Biology, Cambridge Secondary Science, IGCSE/GCSE Chemistry and Biology, and exam preparation for international curricula. I also provide one-to-one tutoring focused on improving academic performance, building confidence, and developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Many of my students have achieved excellent results, including IB grade 7 scores.
In addition to classroom teaching, I support students with Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), laboratory report writing, and university preparation. My teaching approach is student-centered, engaging, and highly structured, with emphasis on conceptual understanding, exam techniques, and critical thinking.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Biology, I am currently a PhD candidate in Molecular Biology and Genomics , and I am also pursuing a Master of Education in Advanced Teaching to further strengthen my educational and pedagogical expertise.
