Hey there!
My name is Matt, and I’m an engaging and committed Economics and Maths tutor for students of all ages. I believe that every learner deserves to be taught in a manner that suits them best, so YOU will be in the driving seat!
Having graduated from the University of Birmingham with a First Class BSc in Economics, I’m in the know at the cutting edge of the field, whether in the core principles of Microeconomics AND Macroeconomics, or in policy relevant areas including Environmental Economics, the Economics of the EU, and Labour Economics. My degree was heavily influenced by statistics and mathematics, which is an area I love. Consequently, I’ll also be offering my skills in Maths for pupils studying from Primary School all the way to A Level, where I myself achieved an A (and almost full marks on all papers!). I also spent two years delivering 1-on-1 tutoring to GCSE Maths students whilst studying for my A Levels, which I LOVED!
So, what does that all mean for you? Well, I’ll start by getting to know you and your educational needs. We’ll then work together to develop a personalised teaching plan, focusing on active learning to help unlock your passion and flair for your subject. I’m a big believer in providing positive reinforcement and feedback along the way, in order for your confidence to flourish and expand your economic/mathematical finesse. I want the apprentice to become the master!
We’ll be in this together - I am motivated to see you succeed in whatever field you study!

I like how Mathew warm's up Kwame's mind with things that interest Kwame like sports etc. Mathew also puts Kwame on the driver's seat so Kwame leads and he guides from behind. That approach is commendable.
Whole lesson was good including the free call beforehand - I was given clarity on topics I had difficulty understanding and will help me in the long run when also doing solo revision.
