I've loved tutoring since I started in 2007 during my BSc Pharmacology course at Newcastle Uni. Teaching Bioscience at degree level gives me insight regarding current GCSE & A-level exam boards, helping me provide targeted study support.

Outside of teaching, I love to ride downhill mountain bikes and surf. I dream of visiting secret beaches with warmer water than the North Sea! I have 2 tiny dogs called Mag and Boomer who also love to visit the coast, even if it is just to annoy the seagulls...
I've been described as the single most enthusiastic scientist people have ever met (I can show you the newspaper!). This is because I channel my love and fascination for all things science into my tutoring to help people clearly see the way things works.
I've tutored students since I started my own BSc Pharmacology degree 13 years ago and have worked with students from primary school all the way to PhD submission. I want all my tutees to reach their full potential, no matter what that may be.
I know I learn best when difficult ideas get broken down into simple chunks. The more related to everyday life the better! I draw on my own experiences of great learning to ensure you get the most out of every session.
BSc. (hons) Pharmacology (2008)
