Teaching is a true passion of mine — something I've devoted over 11 years to, helping students reach that “lightbulb moment” where complex ideas suddenly make sense. Over this time, I’ve taught more than 6,000 hours of Economics and Business Studies across GCSE, A-Level, and university levels, maintaining a 100% pass rate through discussion-based lessons that build confidence, clarity, and exam technique from day one.
Alongside teaching, I’m an Imperial College London graduate and an entrepreneur with ventures in HealthTech and EdTech. I’ve successfully raised capital for my own businesses and bring these real-world experiences into my lessons — showing students how the theories they study come to life in areas like investment decisions, business growth, and market dynamics. My background as a financier includes working with SMEs as a Debt Finance Analyst and managing large-scale transactions exceeding £250m as a Wealth Manager, giving me a strong foundation to connect academic concepts with practical business realities.
I’m passionate about helping every student understand the “why” behind what they learn, fostering analytical thinking and real-world curiosity.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy travelling, hiking, and exploring different cultures, which continually inspire my approach to both business and education.
I have over 11 years’ experience teaching Economics and Business Studies across GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. Since 2014, I’ve taught over 6,000 hours and maintained a 100% pass rate, helping 100+ students gain confidence, exceed predictions, and achieve top grades.
My lessons are discussion-based and interactive, creating a safe space where students are encouraged to question, challenge, and explore ideas freely. I place strong emphasis on justification, reasoning, and the constant “how” and “why”, helping students develop analytical depth and logical thought — skills essential for success in both exams and beyond.
We always follow the exam board specification as our master checklist, but never get lost in textbooks. This allows students to understand theories in context, explore real-world applications, and use that understanding flexibly in any exam scenario. From the very first session, we integrate past paper questions, covering both technique and timed practice to build precision and confidence.
Lesson frequency and focus are always tailored to each student’s needs to ensure they gain the most value from every session. Alongside teaching content, I provide revision strategies, progress tracking, and consistent feedback to keep students on top of their syllabus.
I also make myself available beyond lesson hours, encouraging students to reach out with questions or clarifications while revising for in-class or mock exams.
It’s this blend of structure, curiosity, and support that consistently brings out the best in my students.
I specialise in Economics and Business Studies, teaching across all major UK and international exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Cambridge International (CIE), and International Baccalaureate (IB). I support students from GCSE, A-Level, IB, and university levels, tailoring lessons to each specification’s requirements and assessment objectives.
Economics
- Microeconomics: Demand and supply analysis, elasticity, market equilibrium, market failure and externalities, government intervention, labour markets, business objectives, and market structures (perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition).
- Macroeconomics: Aggregate demand and supply, economic growth, inflation, unemployment, fiscal and monetary policy, international trade and balance of payments, exchange rates, development economics, and globalisation.
- Focus areas include essay writing, data interpretation, quantitative skills, evaluation, and exam technique, in line with examiner expectations.
Business Studies
- Core topics: Business objectives and strategy, leadership and management, marketing, operations, finance and investment appraisal, human resource management, innovation, external influences, and global business.
- Emphasis on application to case studies, evaluation, and analytical reasoning to maximise marks in longer-response questions.
At university and postgraduate level, I provide coursework and dissertation guidance, including research planning, literature reviews, structuring, methodology design, and overall argument development. I also support students with applied research projects and academic writing, ensuring clarity, coherence, and strong analytical depth.
We regularly practice past paper questions and essay structuring during lessons to strengthen understanding and technique.
(The list above is not exhaustive — all topics within each exam board’s specification are fully covered.)
My approach combines clear conceptual understanding with real-world insight from my professional experience in finance and entrepreneurship, helping students bridge theory and practice effectively.
