About Me
Aside from tutoring, I am an high-school teacher with many years of experience at some of the top international schools in both Europe and South America. As the moment I am working in Peru where I teach students towards gaining the IB Diploma in English and Economics. I am also the debate coach for the school debate team and we compete (and win) in various national and international debate events. I love travelling and photography and when I am not teaching I am busy working on my travel blog, sharing stories of my adventures trekking in the mountains or surfing in the Pacific Ocean.
Tutor Experience
I am an Edinburgh University graduate with an MA in English Literature and minor studies in Economics. I have been teaching both subjects at leading international schools in Europe and South Ameica and as a private tutor for many years. I am passionate about educating young minds and ensuring they achieve their full potential. To date I have worked as a private tutor, mentor, IB examiner, IB Workshop Facilitator and IB consultant. As a private tutor I have taught IB English A: Language and Literature; IB English A: Literature and IB Economics SL and HL. I have prepared candidates for some of the top universities in the UK and US, including Oxbridge, many of whom have been offered places at the world’s leading institutions. I continue to find innovative methods to empower students, enabling them to approach academic challenges and pursue specific goals with confidence and self-assuredness, which will allow them to obtain the grades they need to access the university of their dreams.
