During my last BSc degree in Chemistry I was awarded an Erasmus grant to go to Bath University, and I graduated in 2003 with a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry. After that I did a PhD in Organic Chemistry at Bath University.
After the PhD I did research for a year in an oncological hospital and then I worked in a pharmaceutical and dye industry but as I was driven more towards teaching, I qualified as a teacher. I have been teaching Chemistry, Maths and Science since 2016 as a tutor first and currently also work as Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry teacher in a sixth form college in Cambridge.
My passion is to keep motivated and inspire my students and so I guide and support them to achieve outstanding results and thrive through the course. I feel comfortable teaching slow learners and quick learners as I differentiate in order to help them to follow the explanations and progress through the course. I use different means of teaching and assessment that on the one hand keeps my students engaged and actively participating and on the other hand it helps me to know what misconceptions which I could explain from a different perspective which usually help them to understand it

Wonderful help with working through questions
From Megan B. I'd just like to say thank you so much for all the help. I finally got my C in chemistry after being stuck on Es and Ds for the past two years. And I have a place at university and I can choose to do a degree apprenticeship! Thank you! All the best to you. :)
From Bobby: Glad to say I managed to get three As in physics chemistry and maths . I couldn’t have gone from a C to an A in chemistry without you so thank you so much for all of your help. I’m starting my applied chemistry and chemical engineering degree at strathclyde university in a few weeks time, i cannot wait!
From Peter (Sean´s grandad): Sean asked me to write to you on his behalf because you did so much for his confidence and raised him to a much deeper understanding of Chemiistry and,, indeed, Maths.
