About Me
I have been lucky to have lived and worked in the UK, Colombia, Thailand, UAE and Spain. All of these countries have helped me gain a better understanding of students and their needs. A career teacher, I have managed departments and helped them grow to produce even more high-achieving students. My students have gone on to attend the best universities globally.
During the lockdown I have been refining my teaching and tutoring online and now I understand how to use the information best when working online. I use assessments to guide progress and believe quick feedback is essential to sustained improvement.

Topic Expertise
A level (since 1994) and IB Biology (since 1996) are my strengths. Having taught many students studying a variety of exam boards, I have the understanding needed to explain to students how to access the last few, most difficult marks. Essential when chasing the highest grades.
Having worked as an A level examiner I have an intimate understanding of how to answer questions and prepare students for their final exams.
I have excellent KS3 and KS4 Science knowledge and understanding and can help any student improve their grades with targetted help and intervention.
