About Me
Hello there! I'm Sermet, an enthusiastic science teacher with a passion for education and learning. Originally from Cyprus, I graduated from Maarif College, one of the top colleges in the country, and went on to pursue higher education in Molecular Genetics at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
My love for science dates back to my childhood, and I've always been captivated by the fields of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. As an educator, I have dedicated myself to staying up-to-date with the latest scientific discoveries and research, and I love sharing my knowledge and experience with my students.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I'm also a very social and outgoing person. I enjoy meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds, and I try to travel as much as I can. My students often describe me as a fun and engaging teacher, and I take great pride in creating an environment where learning is both stimulating and enjoyable.
Outside of the classroom, I have a keen interest in healthy living, human psychology, and the natural world. I also enjoy staying active through sports and outdoor activities.

Tutor Experience
I'm a highly experienced Biology teacher with a passion for education. I hold a degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, and have completed a pedagogical training certificate at a teacher academy.
Throughout my career, I have attended numerous workshops and educational programs to continuously improve my teaching skills. I started my teaching journey at Kyrenia American College, one of the most prestigious schools in Cyprus, before moving on to Necat British College, where I helped students excel in their academic pursuits. Currently, I am teaching at Maarif College, the same school where I received my high school education.
In addition to my work as a school teacher, I have been tutoring for over six years, specializing in Key-stage 3 Science, IGCSE, AS, and A Level Biology. My experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the curriculum and the challenges that students face, and I'm committed to helping them succeed.
My teaching methodology is student-centered, and I strive to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, think critically, and explore the subject matter in depth. I'm a firm believer in hands-on learning, and I often incorporate interactive activities, experiments, and discussions into my lessons to make learning engaging and memorable.
