About Me

I started my career working in London for energy companies before I decided to become a teacher in 2007. I became a fully qualified teacher in Economics and Business and have taught across a range of schools and colleges including independent schools and outstanding state schools.

I enjoy bringing these subjects to life with a range of case studies and news stories and broaden my students' interest in Economics and Business whilst supporting them with achieving their maximum potential.

I love to walk in the hills around the Peak District and have a love of international travel.

Tutor Experience

Highly experienced teacher and examiner of Economics and Business with outstanding results and a long track record in relation to student progress. Building a supportive relationship with my students is at the heart of my success and I can tailor sessions according to the needs of each individual and build confidence and excellence in performance. I have been teaching for over 15 years and examining for 10 years and have worked for 2 of the main exam boards. I genuinely take delight in seeing my students flourish from small group or individual tuition.

I bring the world of Economics and Business to life using current news stories and help students to engage with difficult concepts by relating it to the real business environment and the global economy. My track record of strong grades at A level and GCSE links to my strong emphasis on exam preparation and high quality revision programmes which can be tailored to each student. Feedback from previous students is that they found the subject easier and much more enjoyable through the high quality rapport and subject knowledge that I can bring to the tutoring role. Many of my students have also progressed to Oxbridge, LSE and top Russell Group Universities and a large percentage of students achieve above their expected grades.

I am currently teaching at an exclusive International online school.
