About Me
Before embarking on my teaching career I spent some years working in the business and logistics sectors. Since making the switch to teaching I have become fascinated by the discipline, and I particularly enjoy delving into current education research to improve my own practice as a teacher. My students can count on a dedicated tutor offering a bespoke service directed at each student's goals.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy gardening, reading, and riding my bike through the very mountainous part of Spain where I live.
Tutor Experience
I’m an experienced Economics and Business Studies teacher with over ten years’ experience teaching A Level Economics (Edexcel IAL) and six years teaching iGCSE Business Studies (CIE) and 3 teaching IB (Econ & Business Management - I was also the EE Coordinator at my school). I teach students aged 14–18 across a wide range of abilities.
My aim is to make difficult concepts clear and help students turn their understanding into strong exam answers. I’m particularly experienced in developing chains of analysis, using diagrams and calculations accurately, and improving the structure and clarity of written responses.
I can help you to:

Write clear, well-structured answers
Apply theory to real-world examples
Avoid common exam pitfalls
Work confidently under time pressure
Above all, I want students to become confident in their subject—not simply better at memorising it. I encourage them to ask questions, think critically and understand how the ideas they learn relate to the world around them.
