About Me
I'm an experienced English and Film Studies teacher from Bristol with 8 years experience in the classroom. Having recently relocated to Scotland, I'm currently working from home as a tutor. I'm passionate about helping to build your confidence, and developing your understanding of English to a high standard.
Tutor Experience
I have a PGCE in secondary education with an English specialism. I'm also TEFL qualified. I have 8 years experience as a classroom teacher.
I have taught both GCSE English Literature and Language fro the AQA exam board. At A Level, I have taught English Language and Film Studies, both with the OCR exam board. I have taught a range of abilities from Grade 1-9 and A-E, and I have experience in tutoring these subjects in a one-to-one format.
My students describe me as encouraging, calm, and fun. As a tutor, I tailor each session to my students' needs, building their confidence and challenging them to achieve their goals. I will provide variety through a range of learning tasks, and I will provide regular feedback, including marking any past papers or exam questions completed.
