Hello! My name is Alex and I am a recent post-graduate student with wide array of academic interests and knowledge. My primary strengths are in the Humanities subjects, such as English, History, and Philosophy, particularly in helping develop good essay-writing strategies and improving the presentation of arguments.
I always enjoy a good discussion around the topics being studied, and always appreciate expanding knowledge above and beyond the scope of the syllabus in order to achieve the highest possible results. I truly believe that your base-line logic and thinking skills are absolutely the most important aspects of becoming a capable and successful student.
I believe in a focused yet conversational technique of tutoring, where we are both able to share ideas with each other and challenge the ideas surrounding the subject matter.
I have given lectures to small groups of students at the University of Oxford, and have also had the opportunity to present my work to leading professionals in the field of Archaeology.
I have also had experience helping students improve essays and essay-writing techniques, and have consulted on a number of Oxbridge applications.
My expertise is primarily in essay-based subjects at GCSE and A-Level, and in Oxbridge admissions preparation. I have experience with Edexcel and AQA A-Level syllabi for both History and Philosophy, as well as the OCR syllabus for A-Level Classical Civilisation.
Thanks for the lesson Alex as helpful as ever !!!
