About Me
Hi!
I'm Daniel. I currently work as a Data Scientist for the UK Home Office. I have a Distinction in MSc Electrical Automotive Engineering and a 1st Class in BSc Mathematics with Finance and Economics.
Tutoring maths is something I truly enjoy, I've been doing it for about 5 years and have helped students go on to achieve magnificent results. Being able to positively impact people's lives in this way is what motivates me. Tutoring is more than just imparting knowledge, it's also about coaching, mentoring and ultimately encouraging students to take ownership of their work.
Since I apply maths within my role as a data scientist, I know how important maths is in the 'real world'. This is really important to share with students especially if they are thinking about pursuing a STEM-related career.
The most enjoyable times I've had teaching are when students begins to enjoy the material themselves. Great things happen when a good understanding and imagination work together. And often, this is the combination needed to tackle the hardest of questions.
