About Me
I am an experienced Business and Computer Science teacher, teaching since 2010 across secondary schools and further education colleges in the UK. Alongside my classroom teaching, I run my own tutoring business and support students both in the UK and internationally, including those studying GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and Edexcel International A Level.
My core focus is helping students improve confidence, exam technique and final grades through a structured and highly targeted approach. I have a strong understanding of exam board requirements and examiner expectations, which allows me to quickly identify where students are losing marks and implement clear strategies to address this.
My teaching is results-driven. Every session is designed with a clear purpose, focusing on:

Applying mark schemes effectively
Developing analytical and evaluative skills
I work with students on both long-term weekly programmes and short, intensive exam preparation courses. Many of my students see significant improvement between mock and final examinations due to focused intervention and consistent, structured feedback.
I build professional, supportive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations. My goal is simple: consistent, measurable progress.
Outside of teaching, I am also a football coach, which has strengthened my ability to motivate individuals and develop performance over time. I run my own tutoring business and manage its website, giving me practical, real-world business experience. In addition, I support my wife in running “stay and play” sessions within a care home setting, which has further developed my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to engage a wide range of individuals.
Tutor Experience
I have been teaching since 2010 across secondary schools and further education colleges in the West Midlands, delivering GCSE, IGCSE, AS and A Level Business and Computer Science. I have extensive experience with Pearson Edexcel, OCR, AQA, Eduqas, WJEC, and Cambridge International (IGCSE and International AS & A Level), as well as Edexcel International A Level (IAL). I have also delivered vocational qualifications including BTEC and T-Level Digital.
I have taught a wide range of learners, including GCSE and A Level students, resit learners, and adult students studying independently through distance learning providers such as Wolsey Hall. Alongside classroom teaching, I provide one-to-one online tuition for students in the UK and internationally.
My approach is highly structured and exam-focused. I use diagnostic assessment to identify gaps in knowledge and exam technique, then implement targeted intervention through model answers, scaffolded practice, and regular exam-style questions. I place strong emphasis on understanding mark schemes, developing application and analysis, and building confidence through clear, actionable feedback. My teaching is tailored to each student, with a focus on measurable grade improvement.
In addition, I have authored a BTEC textbook and contributed to OCR qualification development, giving me a detailed understanding of assessment objectives, specification design, and examiner expectations.

Since 2020, I have delivered online tuition using structured digital systems including Google Drive and shared working documents to enable live annotation, exam modelling and collaborative planning.
