About Me
I am a 36 year old Business and Computing teacher in my 15th year of teaching. I have taught in both schools and colleges, teaching a range of qualifications including Pearson (Edexcel), OCR, Eduqas, AQA and WJEC at GCSE and A-Level. I also teach a range of vocational exam boards including BTEC, OCR Technicals and Pearson Digital T-Level
I am easy to get along with and put a lot of my success down to forging a positive relationship with each student. In recent months I have written my first textbook for a BTEC GCSE qualification along with writing specifications for OCR qualifications. I currently tutor a range of students, from weekly to one-off sessions. I particularly enjoy working with students after mock exam have taken place, as it really highlights the progress we make in a short space of time and before end of year exams.
In my spare time I coach a local under 16`s football side in Kidderminster and like to read about sports and nutrition.
Tutor Experience
I have 15 years of teaching in a variety of schools and colleges across Worcestershire and the West Midlands. I`ve taught on a range of courses and levels across the years and am currently heavily involved in Business Studies development on a national level.
Topic Expertise
Throughout lockdown and since last March 2020, I`ve been tutoring online. This is both convenient and also more beneficial to the student, as items can be quickly shared and notes can be remotely accessed using Google drive or OneDrive. This allows annotations to be made, videos and images to be embedded and digital resources to be accessed like never before. I tailor all of my tutoring resources and sessions to each student, so please share any methods or learning difficulties with me so we can work together to get the best result!
