Empathetic, committed and passionate. Over 6000 hours of tutoring experience. Fluent in English, Spanish and French and with 10 years of experience teaching Physics, Maths, Chemistry and languages and preparing students for GCSEs and A-Levels. My approach is mostly based on briefly discussing the theory and then placing the majority of the session on doing exercises

My name is Jorge Potti, I am 28 years old, and I am a Materials Engineer. Now I live in Madrid, but I went to school in the UK, did my Erasmus in Poland, and moved to Belgium to get my Master's degree in Materials Engineering at KU Leuven. I am an empathetic, committed, and easygoing tutor. I am passionate about education because I believe it is the one master key to resolving most of the issues in the world nowadays. I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish
Started working as a private tutor in 2016. Since then, I have worked over 6000 hours, taught over 100 students, and I have acquired a great level of expertise in online tutoring, especially during the pandemic. The most important aspects to me are keeping the student motivated, connecting with them effectively to help them achieve their best results, and giving them extra work to do after the session. In my tutoring sessions, we do exercises to practice and test the knowledge of the student, complemented by theory when needed
Maths: extensive experience in preparing students for GCSEs and A-levels, especially. Specially keen on functions analysis, derivatives, integrals, trigonometry and statistics.
Physics: my favourite subject to teach. I have extensive experience preparing students for GCSEs and A-levels too. I believe my greatest strength as a tutor is the capacity to explain complicated topics and make them seem intuitive and understandable.
Chemistry: During 6th form, Chemistry was not really my cup of tea, but when I got into Materials Engineering at university, Chemistry was essential to the matter, and slowly it started growing on me. Through tutoring other students, I have been constantly reminded about why chemistry seemed unreachable and off-putting, and because of that, I placed my effort into making it more accessible for everyone
Great bloke
Very good! Super helpful and supportive!
Always helpful and a great tutor
Great lesson
allows me to understand maths a lot better by giving in-depth analysis on a question or topic to ensure I know it, but his iPad does love to work up sometimes; however, this is a very minor issue
the class was really nice, when we met he broke the ice pretty quickly and he explained the main basics of physics, was pretty easy to understand, he asked questions to make sure i understood everything, time flew by quickly, thanks so much for the lesson.
The class structure was perfect. I'm preparing for the Cambridge C2 certification and Jorge is on point teaching with great competence. He is a very empathic person, so it was easy to break the ice in the first session. My chances to pass the test have greatly improved by now. So yes, highly recommended!
Great first class
Method of teaching is excellent
Thank you Jorge.
