About me

Alongside tutoring, I also work as a professional actor, performer, and theatre-maker. I've worked across Europe in this capacity, working on a range of classic texts such as A Midsummer Nights Dream and A Streetcar Named Desire, to writing and performing my own works.
I live and work primarily in London and my clients are based around the world. In my spare time, you can find me out in nature getting some fresh air, reading a decent book, and trying to catch some sun wherever I can!

Tutor Experience

I’ve worked as a private tutor for the past 3 years in London, working with a range of clients aged 6-18+, on a range of subjects & skills, primarily English (Language & Literature), Theatre/Drama, and Professional Skills/Public Speaking. I also cover 11+, Essay Writing and Interview Preparation. Previous to this, I have five years of class teaching and one-to-one private tutoring in speech, drama, verse & prose, and public speaking, with ages ranging 8 – 16, for the following exam boards: LAMDA, RADA, Guildhall, & UKA.
I have also worked extensively in Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Andorra, and Portugal, working with ages 3 – 18+ adult students, all learning English through theatre.

Testimonials

"Alex has been tutoring our boys (aged 7 & 10) for over a year now. Alex is both very competent and organised, whilst always being happy and upbeat which the boys certainly like. He has such a good rapport with them both that my youngest regularly tells me that his favourite after school club is with Alex, which is quite something! I can't recommend him more highly"
