About Me
Why am I different? Living in Greece, as a qualified UK teacher this is my job, I have time to focus fully on each student. My particular speciality at present is the IGCSE course. but I also have extensive experience at GCSE and A-Level. I am very flexible and open to change. My most recent noteworthy professional achievement is that I assumed the lead role at my last school establishing A-Level History when the school extended to welcome years 12 and 13. As such, I feel confident shouldering the full responsibility of guiding students through their examinations. Another way to demonstrate my flexibility is that I have taught subjects outside my degree speciality such as GCSE Religious Education, Geography and A-Level Philosophy.
Tutor Experience
I am a qualified UK History teacher of 15 years. I can teach GCSE, IGCSE, A-LEVEL and IB. I am a trained GCSE examiner. Understanding the expectations of the examination board has been my most valuable tool when guiding students through the revision process. I am open to teaching any History topic at GCSE. I have easy access to a wide range of online resources to support this.
I use an empathetic approach to understanding sources and historical points of view. I aim to help students fully understand what is being asked of them by the examination. I have taught across a range of examination boards including IB, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC. I have experience working as a private tutor for both IGCSE and A-Level students in the classroom and online. I have successfully implemented after-school revision classes at every school I have worked at and have a history of success with student results.
