I’m a PhD graduate in International Relations from the London School of Economics, with a Double First from Cambridge in Politics and IR and a master's in the history of political thought. My academic work explores how international political theory has evolved since the 1970s, and I’ve published scholarly and policy papers on everything from IR realism to electric vehicles.
I left academia in 2023 to pursue more policy-relevant work, with a particular focus on climate, energy and transport. I’ve worked in political consultancy and for a leading international climate NGO, giving me a practical perspective on how politics operates beyond the classroom. I’m thoughtful, approachable, and committed to helping others navigate complex ideas with clarity and confidence.
I have taught undergraduate International Relations at the London School of Economics, where I led classes on the core International Relations module IR100.
My teaching involved everything from preparing and delivering in-person and online classes, to holding office hours and marking essays and exams. I worked closely with students to help them sharpen their arguments, improve their writing, and deepen their understanding of complex ideas. Of 41 students taught, 35 (85%) achieved 2.1 or above, with 14 (34%) achieving First Class including 5 with distinction - well above the yearly averages.
I’ve also tutored pre-university students preparing for Politics and IR courses at top UK universities, designing a curriculum to build their analytical and critical thinking skills. Every student ended up at leading universities.
My approach is rigorous but supportive, helping students to engage confidently with both abstract theory and real-world political developments. Whether you're struggling with IR realism, writing a dissertation, or just looking to improve your essay grades, I aim to provide clear explanations, structured feedback, and tailored guidance to help you succeed.
