I am a passionate academic mentor and researcher with a strong foundation in both biomedical sciences and the social sciences. My research explores mental health through both a biological and a social anthropological lens. I have expertise in teaching Biology and Psychology, and GCSE and A-level, as well as Anatomy and Physiology at degree level.
My goal is to create learning environments that make complex topics accessible and engaging. My experience as an academic mentor allows me to support students in developing critical thinking and, importantly, confidence in their studies.
I have experience leading both individual and group tutoring sessions, as well as facilitating university seminars in subjects relating to biological and social sciences. This has allowed me to develop a flexible teaching approach, adapting content to suit different subject areas and the diverse needs of students, ensuring that learning is engaging, accessible, and effective.
Currently, I primarily work with nursing students, supporting their learning in key areas such as anatomy, physiology, and biomedical sciences, while also helping them develop critical academic skills for their studies and professional practice.
I believe learning should be accessible and digestible, ensuring that complex ideas are broken down in a way that every student can engage with. Developing strong academic skills not only supports success in education but also fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, valuable skills that benefit individuals far beyond.
I adopt a creative approach to teaching, offering fresh perspectives that enhance understanding and engagement, bringing the innovation often needed to make learning more effective and inspiring in education.
My area of expertise is in Biology and Psychology at GCSE and A-level, specifically for AQA and Edexcel exam boards. Anatomy and Physiology at a degree level. My background in Biomedical Science and Global Health makes me well fit to engage with the biological sciences and social sciences, equipping me with a strong and expansive understanding of these topic areas.
My class was very good Natasha is very good at explaining content to me and listening to my needs along with AO1 and AO3 content of the material being applied throughout the session. I look forward to working with Natasha in the future.
Very friendly impression and felt like Natasha was very dedicated and interested in how to help me.
Studying with Natasha has completely changed how I approach learning! She was able to break down complex topics into simple, digestible concepts, making even the most difficult subjects feel manageable. Her passion for teaching shows in each lesson and has built up my confidence – A-Level Biology Student
As a nursing student, I struggled with anatomy and physiology until I started tutoring sessions with Natasha. Her creative approach and ability to adapt the material to my learning style made all the difference. I love her storytelling and use of metaphors. I can now understand and explain the circulatory system with so much confidence. Thank you Natasha! – University of Chichester Nursing Student
What sets Natasha apart is her ability to make learning fun and engaging. She doesn’t just teach facts but also helps me understand the bigger picture. Her creativity is great and unique and cannot be found elsewhere, an example is that she created songs with key theories and facts that I cannot forget! She has made learning such a fun and truly engaging experience.” – Alevel Psychology Student
