I've been teaching in universities since 2011 and actively involved in academic research since 2004. My undergrad, Master’s and PhD are all in Psychology and I am a qualified university teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education which confers Fellowship status in the Higher Education Academy.
My qualifications:
Psychology M.A. (Hons) 2:1 – 2006
MSc Psychological Research Methods (Distinction) – 2009
PhD Cognitive Psychology – 2015
Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education - 2024
I'm an expert at helping with university research projects, Psychology, introductory/intermediate stats or general academic skills.
It's best to message me before booking so I can confirm that I can give you the help you're looking for. I'm always happy to set up a no-cost meeting so you can see if I'm the tutor for you before booking a paid slot.
For the last decade I've been teaching research design, statistics and critical appraisal skills to clinicians - mostly dental postgraduates but I'm well equipped to assist students in other disciplines (such as Medicine and Nursing). I'm particularly experienced at supporting Master's and PhD students with research projects. I can provide coaching on Excel, SPSS, R, JASP and Jamovi. I can train you in techniques like Meta-Analysis. I can also provide guidance on research integrity, research ethics and general academic skills.
My PhD focussed on Cognitive Psychology, specifically attention allocation during reading so this is the area of Psychology I’m strongest on. However, I can confidently introduce newcomers to all areas of Psychology.
Psychology, research methodology, research integrity, research ethics, research design, statistics.
