About Me
Born and raised in Ghana, I pursued my academic passion for chemistry by earning both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees there. In 2002, I relocated to the UK, where I further honed my expertise by completing a PGCE in Science and a doctorate in Chemistry Education. As a qualified educator, I bring not only rigorous academic training but also a deep enthusiasm for demystifying chemistry and inspiring students to see its relevance and beauty.
With over 17 years of teaching experience, I’ve cultivated a toolbox of strategies to break down complex concepts into digestible, engaging lessons. My approach is rooted in flexibility—I adapt to visual, kinaesthetic, or any learning style to ensure students grasp even the most challenging topics. I thrive on transforming “I don’t get it” into “Aha!” moments by tailoring explanations to individual abilities and leveraging simulations, models, and interactive resources developed over my career.
What fuels my work is the belief that every student can excel in science with the right guidance. I specialize in pinpointing learning gaps, nurturing strengths, and fostering curiosity about the world through hands-on, relatable examples.
