Online Physics Tutor Dominic

Hi, I'm Dominic, a 25 year old tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Bath.

I have over 5 years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths/Physics; 2 years whilst studying at university, and 3 years tutoring as my main occupation. I have tutored a wide-range of students with varying abilities, and strongly believe that a great teacher can bring the best out of any learner! My experience has included some in-person teaching, but has mainly shifted to online learning since the pandemic.

Building a relationship of trust and respect is crucial for learning, hence my teaching style is relaxed but sincere. My opinion is that the role of a personal tutor is to form a team with their student, leading to not only confidence-building, but also genuine enjoyment for the subject through consistent improvement and understanding.

I run lessons in a primarily exam-focused style, using exam-style questions as a foundation, constructing the building blocks of what a young person needs to be a high-performing student. This enables my students to simultaneously master both syllabus content and exam technique.

In Maths GCSE & A-Level, I have a thorough knowledge of the AQA, Edexcel and OCR syllabuses.

In Physics GCSE & A-Level I have extensive experience teaching AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC (Wales) and the IB.
