About Me
I am a passionate Biologist who loves the subject and enjoys sharing it with the students that I tutor. I have a particular interest in evolution and natural selection and frequently read articles on the matter to include into my lessons.
Although I now live in London, I love being outside in the countryside and run the DofE expeditions at my school to try to share my passion for the remote areas full of biodiversity.
On the weekends I enjoy playing sort, including hockey and going out to try the fantastic restaurants that London has to offer
Tutor Experience
I have been teaching for 5 years, during these years I have taught science for KS3, GCSE and Biology and Chemistry A-Level. I previously worked in a state school, where I support students who found science difficult, so I have lots of patience and can work through the concepts at the past that best suits you/your child. I now work in a private school with a high academic standard, here I am involved in the process of preparing the students for any University interviews. I have a passion for science a really try to share that with my students to help them reach top grades.
I have lots of experience teaching both the AQA GCSE and Edexcel IGCSE curriculum as well as the AQA and OCR A-Level curriculum. I am responsible for the planning and teaching of the GCSE year in my school, so I have lots of knowledge about how the exam systems work and key tips for success in those exams. I am a qualified practical endorsement examiner so I also have very detailed knowledge on all of the practical aspects of the science exam.
During the COVID exam years I worked closely with exam boards for the marking guidance and now I have inside knowledge on how students can success in the written exam answers, something that has proved to really help my students for their results in the summer just gone.

At university I was awarded 2 academic scholarships and got a 1st Class degree in Biology, so I have outstanding knowledge in all areas of the Biology curriculum.
