When left university I started working at a children’s home for children with special needs. A friend introduced me to teaching after working at the children’s home for 5 years. I fell in love with teaching straight away and continued on my educational path and become a qualified teacher.
My greatest passions in life are teaching social sciences and travelling. I have seen many students leave 6th form and go on to continue their education or break through into the working world.
I have also been able to explore my passion for traveling during the school holidays and it has allowed me to view the world and immerse myself in different cultures.
I have been teaching for 17 years, teaching GCSE and A Level Psychology and Sociology in a number of specifications such as International Baccalaureate, AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL and WJEC. I am also an experienced and current examiner of International Baccalaureate and AQA.
As well as holding many senior roles such as Head of Department, Deputy Head Teacher and Head of Sixth Form, I have also taught internationally in Abu Dhabi, and I have more recently taught in a university on several degree courses.
I have been tutoring students for many years now, both offline and online. I love teaching! It’s my greatest passion in life and I can’t imagine being anything else but a teacher. I love to see students become as passionate as I am about my subjects. And I especially love the light bulb moments.
I’m particular skilled at preparing students for exams and tackling exam questions. I can help students break down the questions and really get to the bottom of what the question is asking.
I can also help students get their thoughts and notes organised. This this is key for students to be successful at their studies.
I'm so happy with my progress in the MiC questions I've been going through for the last few weeks :)
Really good thanks
Angela is patient and encouraging and my daughter seems to enjoy and learn well in the session
amazing I feel so much more confident with my weakest area, theres still room for improvement as I'm not strong with the basics but the structure for the question and the writing points to maximise marks being discussed was so helpful I feel so much more confident!! :)
Angela is a very supportive and effective tutor. I feel like my answers to questions in all topics have been more efficient and less "waffle" because of her and I would most definitely recommend her to anybody who feels they need tutoring.
Super helpful and useful, Angela is an amazing teacher and helped me gain lots of confidence in Psychology
so helpful in helping with exam practice and harder concepts in the specification!
As always helpful and informative. Angela is responsive to what Olivia needs and we are seeing the improvement in her grades at school.
very good, went through key content and helped breaking down 16 mark exam questions - i feel a lot more confident in my exam technique now !
Good!
‘Liv received her results today and was absolutely thrilled to discover she got a B which surpassed our expectations. Your work with her is absolutely the reason that she was able to gain this grade and so we wanted to thank you for all your support. She is off to Hertfordshire to complete a Sport and Exercise Science degree.’ – Liv 2024
'Hi Angela it’s Sydney just wanted to say thank you so much for your help this year I managed to get an A in sociology!!!! Overall I got A*AA! The other A being psychology and the A* criminology. It was a massive shock but I was so relieved thank you so much for your help!' - Sydney 2024

Overall I got BBC but getting PE remarked because I was 2 marks off an A. I got into Birmingham which was my first choice!' - Emma 2024
'Angela tutors clearly and effectively, knowing how to break down complex concepts in the specification into bitesize chunks. Alongside this, she aids support in answering exam questions, giving informative feedback and useful tips to implement during the exams, and helping me to achieve an A in Psychology' Mollie 2024
