I have been working as a private tutor since 2017, delivering structured one-to-one and small group tuition across 11+, KS3 and GCSE levels in Mathematics, English, verbal and non verbal reasoning.

I support students preparing for 11+ entrance exams as well as those working towards GCSEs, with a focus on building strong foundations, confidence, and effective exam technique.

My approach is student centred and supportive. I take time to understand where each student needs support, so that I can structure lessons and revision in a way that suits their individual learning style. I break down topics into manageable steps, use guided practice, and provide clear feedback to help students make steady progress.

I have experience supporting students with additional needs, including specific learning difficulties and attention related challenges. I adapt my teaching to ensure lessons are accessible, engaging, and tailored to each learner.

I also bring examiner insight from my work as an AQA English Language examiner (2 seasons), allowing me to guide students with a clear understanding of how marks are awarded and how to improve their performance in exams.

At university level, I have supported undergraduate and postgraduate students in business related subjects, particularly with academic writing, essay structure, critical thinking, and research skills. I also work with international students to develop academic English, including referencing and presentation skills.

I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their understanding, and building confidence in their abilities.
